Frequently asked questions
Can Semax treat ADHD?
Despite community claims, Semax is not a proven treatment for ADHD. While it may enhance focus and cognitive function through BDNF upregulation, no rigorous clinical trials have established it as an ADHD treatment. It should not be used as a substitute for proven ADHD medications without physician guidance.
Is Semax the same as ACTH?
No. Semax is a synthetic analog of a small fragment of ACTH (amino acids 4-10). Unlike full ACTH, Semax does not stimulate cortisol production from the adrenal glands. It retains the neurotrophic properties of the fragment without the hormonal side effects of ACTH.
