About Guides to Peptides

Our Mission

Peptides are everywhere — in your skincare, your supplements, your social media feed. But the information out there is overwhelming, contradictory, and often driven by marketing rather than science.

Guides to Peptides exists to cut through the noise. We aggregate research, compare products, and explain what the science actually says — in plain language, without the hype.

Think of us as the Wirecutter for peptides. We do the homework so you can make informed decisions.

Our Methodology

Research Status Ratings

Every peptide gets a research status badge based on the quality and quantity of available evidence:

  • Well-Studied: Multiple peer-reviewed human clinical trials with consistent results.
  • Emerging: Some human studies exist but more research is needed. Results are promising but not conclusive.
  • Limited: Primarily animal studies or very small human trials. Use with caution and medical supervision.
  • Unproven: Insufficient scientific evidence to make any claims.

Product Evaluation

Our product profiles include:

  • Verified ingredient lists and concentrations (where disclosed)
  • Community sentiment aggregated from Reddit, skincare forums, and social media
  • Dermatologist and professional recommendations
  • Honest pros AND cons for every product
  • Price per unit calculations for fair comparisons

What We Don't Do

  • We never make health claims or promise specific results
  • We don't accept payment for product placement or reviews
  • We don't recommend prescription products without noting the need for medical supervision
  • We don't use fear-based or urgency-based marketing tactics

Transparency

Affiliate Disclosure: In the future, Guides to Peptides may earn commissions through affiliate links to products we recommend. This will never influence our ratings or recommendations. Any affiliate relationships will be clearly disclosed on relevant pages.

Independence: We are not owned by, affiliated with, or sponsored by any peptide manufacturer, skincare brand, or pharmaceutical company. Our content is produced independently based on publicly available research and real-world user experiences.

Data Accuracy

All product information, prices, and ingredient lists are verified against manufacturer websites and retailer listings. Each entry includes a "Last Verified" date so you know how current the information is.

Peptide research summaries are based on peer-reviewed studies published in scientific journals. We cite the level of evidence (human trials vs. animal studies vs. in vitro) and note when evidence is limited or conflicting.
